Wearing your Dor means wearing your heart outside yourself. It means living close to your feelings. Longing, memory, ache, love, desire. Dor is our strongest Romanian emotion, and the feeling that gave this studio its name.
Founded in London by perfumer Alina, Dor is shaped together with a collective of designers, architects and researchers who share a deep curiosity about the senses. Our mantra is simple: get nosey.
We create olfactive experiences and perfumes as material traces of our imagination and lived experiences. Our method is rooted in care and curiosity, with attention given to every layer of the work: olfactive, visual, tactile. We want what we make to move you through all the senses. To be beautiful to touch, to see, to smell.
Everything is made in our London studio, where we also host occasional workshops and curious experiences.
We use high concentrations of natural materials, practise slow perfumery, and produce in small quantities. We believe good things should take time.
We also work beyond perfume, collaborating with artists and makers on installations, exhibitions and other multidisciplinary expressions of scent. Follow along on Instagram and through our newsletter to find us in the wild.
